About the Book
The Alex and Leah Learn to Farm series is a fun way for young readers to learn about farming. These books by experienced agricultural trainer Jay Borden show what life is like on a farm, how to farm in a sustainable way, and how important it is to know where our food comes from.

About the Author
Agriculture education and sustainable farming are Jay Borden’s passions. Jay grew up in northern Illinois around farms and fell in love with the industry. He studied agriculture education at Auburn University to prepare future agricultural leaders.
Jay has taught more than two decades to middle and high school children in urban and rural programs about food production, agriculture careers and STEAM education. Jay was named the 2019/2020 Harris County School District Teacher of the Year, and his innovative way of teaching earned him the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teacher Association Outstanding Agriculture Education Teacher Award in 2022.
